EMERGENCY ADDENDUM AS A RESULT OF COVID-19
TO THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
TUESDAY,  MARCH 17, 2020 - 6:00 PM

Pursuant to the allowance issued by Texas Governor, Greg Abbott, on March 16, 2020, the City Council meeting will take place by teleconference.  This meeting will address emergency items or items of urgent City business only, and all other items will be postponed at the approval of City Council.

Members of the public wishing to speak during the public comments portion of the meeting may do so by two-way telephone communication.

Addendum 1.1   Consider and take all appropriate action to conduct teleconference of meeting due to finding that emergency or public necessity exists, pursuant to Declaration of Disasters issued by State of Texas and City of Seabrook on March 13, 2020 and the directive issued by the Texas Attorney General on March 16, 2020, suspending quorum requirements to the Texas Open Meetings Act for teleconference.  Gayle Cook, City Manager

Addendum 1.2   Consider and take all appropriate action on the ratification of the postponement of items on the regular City Council Agenda of March 17, 2020 under the emergency powers granted to the Mayor under Section 418.0108(d) of the Texas Government Code, Section 26-27 of the Seabrook Code of Ordinances and the recent directives from CDC.  Thomas G. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEABROOK, TEXAS REQUESTING SUSPENSION OF CERTAIN LAWS AND RULES PURSUANT TO TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 418.016 TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO ADDRESS COVID-19 EPIDEMIC

THE CITY COUNCIL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO HEAR ANY OF THE ABOVE DESCRIBED AGENDA ITEMS THAT QUALIFY FOR AN EXECUTIVE SESSION IN AN EXECUTIVE SESSION BY PUBLICLY ANNOUNCING THE APPLICABLE SECTION NUMBER OF THE OPEN MEETINGS ACT, (CHAPTER 551 OF THE TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE) THAT JUSTIFIES EXECUTIVE SESSION TREATMENT.
                                                     
I certify that this ADDENDUM was posted on the bulletin board under the Emergency Notice Provisions of Section 551.045 of the Texas Government Code, on March 17, 2020, no later than 5:00 p.m., which is at least one (1) hour before the regular City Council meeting scheduled on March 17, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.
