NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE SEABROOK CITY COUNCIL WILL MEET ON TUESDAY AUGUST 20, 2019 AT 7:00 PM IN THE CITY HALL CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 1700 1ST STREET, SEABROOK, TEXAS, TO DISCUSS, CONSIDER, AND IF APPROPRIATE, TAKE ACTION WITH RESPECT TO THE ITEMS LISTED BELOW.

5.1   Consider and take all appropriate action on Resolution 2019-19, "Submission of Grant Application to the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program of the Federal Emergency Management Agency".  (Cook)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEABROOK, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE HAZARD MITIGATION GRANT PROGRAM (HMGP) OF THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY THROUGH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT FOR AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $35,308,265.00 IN GRANT FUNDS FOR A SYSTEM RETROFIT OF WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT PROJECT; SUPPORTING THE CITY'S APPLICATION TO THE HMGP; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT, WITH AN ESTIMATED COMMITMENT FROM THE CITY OF $8,827,066.25

5.2   Consider and take all appropriate action on an agreement between the City of Seabrook and the Seabrook Economic Development Corporation for EDC Staffing Services, for Fiscal Year 2019-2020, in an amount not to exceed $242,293.00.  This agreement has been approved by the Board of Directors of the Seabrook Economic Development Corporation (SEDC).  (Chavez)

5.4   Consider and take all appropriate action on first of two readings of Seabrook Economic Development Corporation and Seabrook City Council Joint Resolution 2019-18, "Proposed SEDC Project - Hiring of an Independent Consultant for Professional Consulting Services for Retail Recruitment to be included in EDC Projects Fund Budget Line Item 707-5617 for Fiscal Year 2019/20".  This joint resolution has been approved by the SEDC Board of Directors.
