The City of Seabrook would like to take a moment to highlight and recognize Merlion on 4th for their recent awards. On Thursday evening, March 23, 2017, at the annual Best of the Bay Dinner hosted by Bay Area Magazine, Merlion on 4th was named the BEST Asian Restaurant in the Bay Area for 2016. In addition, Caleen Worthen, Merlion’s very own, was named Best Bartender of 2016.
Merlion also received first place in two categories at the Houston Rodeo’s Uncorked event on February 26, 2017. Merlion received first place in both the Lone Star Entree category and in the Tasty Tradition category. Uncorked was a sold out event with approximately 6,000 guests.
Merlion on 4th, formerly located on Main Street, was one of the first restaurants to return after Hurricane Ike. This charming restaurant is located in Old Seabrook and is a favorite among many locals. They serve authentic Thai cuisine and fresh local seafood options. Their Dragon Fire Dumplings and Panang are some of their most popular dishes and several of their menu items can be customized to your spice preference.
Over the past several months, Merlion on 4th has been working with the Seabrook Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) for a small business incentive that will relocate their location back to Main Street. It is the goal of the SEDC to incentive businesses to redevelop Main Street in Old Seabrook. Merlion will be the perfect restaurant to help bring back to life this quaint beautiful part of Seabrook.
