Possible power outage for Seabrook residents

The City of Seabrook Office of Emergency Management has been informed by Centerpoint Energy that they may have to temporarily shut down electricity to the Waterfront District, Todville to East Meyer, East Meyer to SH 146 and the Miramar subdivision. There is also the possibility of power being shut off to homes along both sides of Todville between East Meyer up to the Seascape subdivision.

Power will be shut down so Centerpoint can make repairs to a transmission line that fell into the Clear Creek Channel. It is unknown at this time how long the repairs will take. Residents and businesses may follow real-time updates by viewing Centerpoint's Outage Tracker online at: http://gis.centerpointenergy.com/outagetracker/?WT.ac=OC_Image_Callout. Simply enter your address in the search bar to view current power outages and estimated restoration times.

The City of Seabrook Office of Emergency Management will continue to monitor updates as they become available.
