Seabrook Animal Control would like to remind all residents of the city requirement to have your pet licensed. The process is quick and straightforward, and all that you need to provide is proof of pet’s annual rabies vaccine. Your pet’s license will expire at the end of the year and will need to be renewed every year.
Ensuring your pet is registered with the City of Seabrook provides the following benefits:
- Identifies that your pet is not a homeless stray.
- Licensed pets can be quickly reunited with their owners, allowing Animal Control to contact you directly if your pet is picked up.
- Your pet’s license shows proof that your pet has been vaccinated against rabies.
To receive your pet’s license, simply bring proof of their annual rabies vaccination and proof that they have been spayed or neutered if applicable to the Animal Shelter and Adoption Center located at 1100 Red Bluff, in Seabrook. Registrations will be accepted on Saturdays between 10:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., and on Mondays and Tuesdays between 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. You may also register your pet at City Hall, 1700 1st Street, Monday through Thursday between 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Fridays between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost to register your pet is $10; however, that will be waived if your pet has been spayed or neutered. If you do not license your pet, you could be fined up to $500 plus court fees.
