Pine Gully fishing pier will be closed today, Thursday, May 7, 2020, as Seabrook Police Officers investigate a possible suicide.
Officers were dispatched to the Pine Gully fishing pier after dispatch received a call at approximately 5 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim possibly in his 60’s deceased from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot. The body is being transferred to the Harris County Medical Examiner.
Additional personal information will not be released to protect the privacy of the victim and his family. The case is under investigation as a suicide by the Seabrook Police Department.
Pine Gully Park, the trails around the park, and the Carothers property will be closed to the public until the scene is cleared by the Seabrook Police Department. The pier will be closed for the remainder of the day.
