Recent storms have resulted in minor street flooding which has caused trash and recycling containers to overturn and spill into the streets. The City of Seabrook requests that all residents immediately retrieve their trash and recycling containers and store them in a safe place as storms are expected to continue this evening.
In addition due to the flooding, Waste Management was unable to finish some of their normal routes, however, they will return tomorrow morning to finish. If your street did not receive trash service today, please remove your trash and recycling containers from the street and return them in the morning for service. DO NOT leave trash and recycling containers in the street overnight.
Thank you for your understanding. We encourage everyone to monitor the weather. Updates can be found on the National Weather Service (NWS) website. According to the NWS, a complex of thunderstorms is expected to move from west to east across Harris County beginning Friday evening through Saturday evening. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches with isolated totals of more than 6 inches are possible. Areas that experience heavy rainfall of more than 3 inches in a short period of time could see potential street flooding.
