Solicitors, Peddlers and Vendors

A ordinance has been passed by Seabrook City Council in regards to peddlers, itinerant vendors, hawkers, solicitors and canvassers. The ordinance requires all individuals and groups, unless exempt per the ordinance, to get a permit through the City Secretary’s Office.

Ordinance No. 2013-25 includes:

  • All solicitors/peddlers must receive a permit issued by the City of Seabrook
  • Solicitor hours are between 8:00 a.m. to approximately one hour before sunset
  • Solicitors may not trespass on property that has a posted "No Soliciting" or "No Trespassing" sign
  • Solicitors must promptly leave the property if asked to leave

If you would like to receive a Peddler’s/Solicitor’s License you must complete the following form (PDF) with the required accompanying documents specified within the application form and return it to the Office of the City Secretary. The license will usually be issued or denied within one week of submission of all required documents.
