Tom Tollett has deep roots in the Bay Area. He founded and owns Tommy’s Restaurant Oyster Bar, a successful local restaurant for 28 years. Prior to that, Tom spent 18 years in management roles at multiple area restaurants. Since 2016, he and his wife, Laurian, call Seabrook home. Tom has three children, Jaxson, Samantha, and Nikolas.
Tom has donated his time and expertise to numerous local organizations - Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce, HCA Clear Lake Hospital, Port of Houston Authority “Chairman’s Citizens Council”, Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership, Maritime Committee, Small Business Committee and Healthcare Committee.
Tom is passionate about our area’s ecology. He has created the Oyster Recycling Program, which over 10 years, has recycled 1 million pounds of shells into Galveston Bay for sustainable oystering. He’s also on the board of Galveston Bay Foundation, leading the building committee for a $25 million environmental education center.
