Michael Giangrosso

Michael Giangrosso has been a Seabrook resident for over 14 years and has lived in the Bay Area for 41 years. Raised in a military family (his dad, a retired Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer) his family instilled in him the value of hard work and persistence.  His military upbringing afforded him the opportunity to travel throughout the world.  He was born in Bremerhaven, Germany in 1969 and has traveled extensively with his family.  Michael has been married to his wife, Hilda for 24 years and they have two children, Clarissa and Craig.  They enjoy family vacations and enjoy quality time with family and friends.  They are very active in their church, community and schools. 

 

Comfortable with travel and at ease with transitioning into new experiences, Michael proceeded to launch a career in the travel and tourism industry.  Professionally, he has worked in the hospitality industry for over 30+ years.  Throughout his career in the hospitality industry, Michael has been known for his commitment to service excellence. 

 

With his past experience serving on Planning & Zoning Commission as Vice-Chairman from 2019 to 2021 and City Council for two terms 2011 thru 2017 shows he has the tenacity to continue to keep the city going in the right direction.

 

Michael was one of the first hotel managers to charter the Bay Area Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau (BAHCVB) in 2001.  Since the inception of the BAHCVB, Michael has served in all executive board positions, including Chairman of the Board for 2008-2010.

 

Michael was also a member of the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, where he served on the executive committee as Vice Chairman of Finance and the Tourism Chairman.  He is also actively involved with the Hotel & Lodging Association of Greater Houston.
