Public Art and Community Projects
The Office of Communication oversees several special projects throughout the year including all public art and art promotions. This includes the Seabrook Pelican Path and Mini-Murals. In addition, the department manages the promotion and sale of brick and granite plaques at the Bay Area Houston Veterans Memorial.
Seabrook Pelican Path
Have you taken a selfie with one our pelicans? If not, then why not? These colorful pelicans decorate our city and can be seen in almost every park in the city. And if you want to visit several at on time visit the Marcy Fryday Pelican Path next to the Community House. | Learn More
Mini-Mural at the Skate Park
Go back in time by visiting the Meador Park Skate Park. During the 2017 Celebration Seabrook event, Artists Shelbi Nicole painted a mini-mural live, that dates back to historic points in Seabrook's history. The Skate Park is the first of several mini-murals the city hopes to install around the city.
Bay Area Veterans Memorial
Located on scenic Main Street the Bay Area Veterans Memorial is a place of remembrance and reverence. The memorial honors all branches of the government and anyone who has lived or is currently living in Bay Area Houston may be purchased an inscribed brick or plaque for placement at the memorial. | Learn More
