Motor vehicle hit and run pedestrian fatality

(Seabrook, Texas) – On June 24, 2019, at approximately 2:25 a.m. the Seabrook Police Department received a 911 call from a motorist who had discovered a body on State Highway 146 in a northbound lane located within the 2000 block of the highway in Seabrook, Texas. As a result of the incident State Highway 146 between NASA Parkway and Repsodorph Road was closed between 2:30 a.m. through 6:00 a.m.  

The motorist who discovered and reported the body did not witness the incident. Preliminary reports describe the victim as a black male.  At this time the victim has not been identified.  

The accident is being investigated by the Seabrook Police Department with assistance from the Harris County Constable Office, Precinct 8.

The cause and manner of death are unknown at this time. The body has been transported to the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy and forensic services.
