Congratulations are in order for one of Seabrook Police Department’s very own, Telecommunicator William Walker, who was recently recognized with the 2024 Silent Hero Award at the GHC911 Awards Ceremony this June.
The Silent Hero Award, presented by the Greater Harris County 9-1-1 Emergency Network (GHC911), recognizes 9-1-1 telecommunicators in the Greater Harris County area for their professionalism, dedication, and service to public safety. It celebrates those who consistently go above and beyond the call of duty, showing exceptional performance and a positive attitude. William was awarded a Certificate of Recognition as part of this special honor.
William earned this recognition for his exceptional response during a critical 911 call involving a structure fire. His calm demeanor, quick thinking, and clear communication during that emergency helped ensure the safety of everyone involved. It was a moment that truly highlighted his skill and dedication.
