Suspect in Seabrook Murder Case Now in Custody
On October 28, 2024, at approximately 7 p.m., Task Force Officers from the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, Galveston Police Department, and Deputy U.S. Marshals with the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force, with support from the Texas City Police Department, conducted a coordinated warrant service in the 1100 block of 7th Avenue North in Texas City, Texas.
The suspect, Dawayland Earnest Hurst, was taken into custody on multiple felony warrants spanning three counties. He is currently held at the Galveston County Jail.
