Notice of Voluntary Interest

  1. 2024 Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant Program

    Please complete this form if you are interested in participating in the FMA grant application process to reduce your hazard for flood losses. Signing this does not commit you to any action.

  3. The local government is required by FEMA to inform your participation in this project for elevation assistance is voluntary. Neither the State nor the City of Seabrook will use its eminent domain authority to acquire the property for open-space purposes if you choose not to participate in the Flood Mitigation Assistance grant program, or if negotiations fail.

  4. To assist with the grant application process and any subsequent implementation, the City has competitively procured Jeffrey S. Ward & Associates, Inc (JSWA). JSWA has assisted communities throughout the State on the grant application development home elevation grant management on over 300 homes. We will be holding a public meeting for interested homeowners on October 23, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. in the Public Works training room, located at 1100 Red Bluff Road, Seabrook, Texas 77586. Interested participants should bring as many of the items noted above to the meeting for review.

    Items may be returned via email to Jeff Ward, of JSWA or dropped off at the Public Works and Animal Control Complex located at 1100 Red Bluff Road, Seabrook Texas 77586.
