Office of Public Affairs
The City of Seabrook's Department of Public Affairs oversees a wide range of communication, marketing, and public relations efforts to keep the community informed and engaged. The department also manages all crisis communication within the city, ensuring accurate, timely, and clear information is provided during emergencies. Additional responsibilities include managing the following platforms and activities: marketing, website development, social media, press releases, media relations, graphic design, video production, photography, newsletters, public education and outreach, trade shows, email listservs, and communication policies and procedures.

City Calendar
Each January, the Department of Public Affairs distributes a printed city calendar to every home and business in Seabrook. This calendar provides information about annual events, recurring meetings, and more, helping to reach residents who may not access city resources online.
Crisis Communication
The Department of Public Affairs is responsible for all crisis communication within Seabrook. During emergencies, the department ensures timely and accurate updates are provided to the community through multiple channels, including social media, the city website, press releases, email, and text notifications.
News Media
Members of the media may contact the Department of Public Affairs via email for inquiries or to schedule interviews with city staff or City Council members. The department works to answer questions and connect media representatives with the appropriate subject matter experts.
Marketing
The Department of Public Affairs serves as the primary marketing resource for the City of Seabrook, including tourism and economic development initiatives. Responsibilities include ad development, media buying, managing special campaigns, and more.

Film Permits
The City of Seabrook is a Certified Film Friendly City and in order to receive their certification had to put in place a Filming Ordinance which requires any business or individual who wishes to film in the city for commercial purposes must obtain a Film Permit through the Office of Communication.

If your organization is interested in holding an event in Seabrook and believes the event will bring in overnight visitors to the city, then your event may be eligible to receive a sponsorship throughout Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund.

History of the Pelican Path
In June 2000, Marcy Fryday and Cheri Smith, with the Seabrook Merchant and Tourist Association, brainstormed a project to boost local enthusiasm and attract visitors. Inspired by successful "critter" public art in other communities, they chose the pelican, a symbol of Seabrook, as the project's centerpiece.
