Public Surveys
The City of Seabrook uses FlashVote to gather quick, meaningful feedback from residents on important local topics. This program makes it easy for the community to share input and helps the City make informed decisions that reflect resident priorities.
Why Participate?
- Fast and easy: Surveys are short and take about one minute to complete
- Flexible: Participate from any device: phone, tablet, or computer
- Convenient: Receive surveys by email, text, or phone call (your choice)
- Transparent: Community results are shared within days of survey closing
How It Works
- Signing up takes less than one minute
- When a new survey is available, you’ll receive a notification
- You’ll have up to 48 hours to respond
- After the survey closes, participants receive a summary of the results and can see how their responses compare with the group
Your Privacy Matters
All FlashVote surveys are anonymous. Personal or demographic information is never shared with the City or anyone else. Feedback is reported only in aggregate to protect individual privacy.
Make Your Voice Heard
By participating in FlashVote surveys, you help shape policies, programs, and services that affect Seabrook’s future. Your input supports better decision-making for the entire community.
Past Surveys
- Why is FlashVote independent from the City of Seabrook?
-
FlashVote is an independent, third-party platform for collecting community feedback transparently. Results are produced and reported by FlashVote, and participants see the same results as City staff. This shared access helps ensure openness and builds trust in the process.
FlashVote also allows responses to be published anonymously in the results, which can encourage more candid feedback while still meeting public information requirements.
- Who can participate in FlashVote surveys?
-
Participation may include individuals with a legitimate stake in Seabrook, such as residents, city employees, business owners, or property owners. When a question is focused on resident opinion, FlashVote allows results to be viewed only for Seabrook residents.
- Where does the information go after I respond?
-
Responses are collected in FlashVote’s secure system. The City receives community-level results, including percentages, totals, and grouped comments. These same results are shared with participants, so the community and the City are reviewing the same information.
- What happens to my data?
-
FlashVote does not sell or share personal information. All data is encrypted and stored securely. The City does not receive individual responses tied to names, phone numbers, or accounts. Only summary results are provided.
- What happens after a FlashVote survey is completed?
-
Once a survey closes, the results are reviewed by City staff and City Council. The feedback becomes part of ongoing planning discussions and helps inform City decisions.
- How will the public be updated on survey results?
-
Survey results are emailed directly to participants after each survey concludes. Results are also posted publicly on the City’s website at www.seabrooktx.gov/flashvote so the broader community can review them.
- How are survey results used?
-
Survey feedback helps inform the City’s Strategic Plan, which guides priorities, budgeting, and long-term projects. Community input is considered alongside available resources, legal requirements, and operational needs.
- Will all survey feedback result in immediate changes?
-
Not all feedback can be acted on right away. Implementation depends on factors such as funding, staffing, legal requirements, and long-term planning considerations. All feedback is reviewed and considered as part of the City’s decision-making process.
- Why is the City using surveys?
-
Surveys are among the tools the City uses to gather community input. The goal of the FlashVote program is to make feedback easier to share, improve transparency, and support informed planning over time.
